Our expertise

Our production is entirely based on customer requirements. Customised manufacturing for even the smallest quantities, careful designs and express deliveries are our strengths.

Our process

Engineering & prototyping

We are happy to advise you – in terms of design, material selection and your feasibility study. We carry out corresponding spring calculations and tests in accordance with your specifications, or produce articles based on your technical specifications, draft or sample. Thanks to state-of-the-art machinery, we can produce high-quality prototypes at short notice and without tooling costs, especially in the wire range from 0.10 to 13.00 millimetres. Thanks to in-house production, designers and developers can be present when the production machines are set up, so that your correction or adjustment requests can be incorporated directly.

Production

We employ state-of-the-art production engineering to turn plain wire into bent wire parts. Primarily, we utilise he technology of the market leader Wafios AG with whom we enjoy a close and fair business relationship, enabling us to guarantee an equally high quality standard.

Final inspection

Unless defined otherwise, the final inspection shall be based on DIN AQL1.5 and carried out by means of digital measuring projector, all types of callipers and sometimes servo-controlled spring testing scales. The data determined in the process can be documented with the official QS-STAT automotive supplier programme in digital or paper form on request. All measurement tools are subject to strict test instrument monitoring periodically carried out to around 80% by an external, accredited provider.

Finishing

All show with great substance! The optical surface of a component decides within a second whether we see something as “beautiful and precious” or “unattractive and raw”. While appearance is secondary in most fields of application for a spring, especially when the component disappears inside a machine or mechanism, there is more to quality than meets the eye. DH/SH grade spring steel and spring steel strip are commonly used in spring production. These materials are often prone to rust – which is easy to minimise or even eliminate with appropriate surface treatments, such as burnishing, galvanising, passivating, chrome-plating, etc. Through our competent partners, we offer all common surface treatments, allowing you to source your components/spring elements ready for action directly from us without having to shop around.

Washing system

In the summer of 2019, we replaced our outdated PER washing plant that still used perchloroethylene for degreasing with a water-based system featuring excellent environmental performance. A special, additional rinsing procedure with amplified spray nozzles achieves utmost surface cleanliness. Following our production process, this prepares our articles optimally for the next steps, before a thorough final cleaning with anti-corrosive additives rounds the item off.

Painting & powder coating

Springs and components are often used as functional designs and must be colour-coordinated with the rest of the construction or presented as a contrast.  Our springs and components can be conventionally painted (wet paint) or powder coated in every conceivable colour. The latter is a modern, environmentally friendly surface finishing and protection process in which electrically charged plastic powder granules are sprayed electrostatically onto the grounded spring or component. During the subsequent baking process, the colour powder is melted and cured in a special oven at approx. 120–200 °C, creating a very robust, virtually scratch-proof and corrosion-resistant layer. The advantage of powder coating is that the spring elements and components are ready immediately after cooling and do not require any further time for drying or curing.
